Considering I'm such a big fan of The Black Keys, I cannot believe I hadn't heard of this collaboration until now. Blakroc is a collarative effort between The Keys and 11 hip-hop and R&B artists that include Mos Def, Q-Tip, RZA, Billy Danze, Jim Jones, Nicole Wray, NOE, ODB, Pharoahe Monch, & Raekwon.

Very cool Chris. Dan Auerbach has such an amazing ear for music. I am always excited to see what new project he has going. Doesn't seem like the guys sleeps much.

"We really like really repetitive hooks, because that's what Dan and I grew up listening to," Carney says. " Dan grew up listening to blues, and I grew up listening to classic rock. But we both kind of bonded mostly over Wu-Tang samples and hooks of Stax Records and old soul records."
